A highly skilled educator, Dr. Adams has over 16 years of experience in teaching and training and development for both students and educators through her role as a classroom teacher and administrator at the school, district, and state levels.

Throughout her career, Dr. Adams has worked with hundreds of educators to accelerate their impact and capacity to use data in meaningful ways to drive decisions, allocate resources, and, ultimately, improve student learning outcomes. She has a proven track record of designing and delivering training programs that are relevant, engaging, and effective.

Dr. Adams also brings to the table an extensive understanding of learning disabilities and appropriate laws concerning students with disabilities, including Individual Education Plans (IEP), Individual Accommodation (IAP/Section 504) Plans, EL Testing Participation Committee (EL/TPC), and related services.

As a special education administrator she supervised special education teachers, coordinated classroom and assessment accommodations, and worked with teachers to develop positive support plans and strategies to improve student academic and social-emotional functioning.

As district-level assessment and data coordinator, she advised district and school leaders on how to use assessment data to ensure that the needs of all students, including those with disabilities, are met.

The Georgia Department of Education’s Accessibility and Accommodations Manual developed by Dr. Adams is currently the primary resource available to districts and charters for accommodations guidance specific to standardized and alternate assessment administration across the state.

In her down time, Dr. Adams enjoys DIY projects. She’s crafty.

She’s just our type.
