Proven out during a 2021 pilot implementation for Michigan correctional facilities, the Google Workspace, Classroom and Chromebook solution has offered students expanded access to virtual instruction, certification programs, the electronic law library and repository of support documentation a place to house the supporting documentation they can use to market themselves upon re-entry to the workforce. Michigan has decreased recidivism by 18% in the last 15 years due in part to its slate of educational offerings and innovative use of technology. Pilot programs with Colorado Department of Corrections, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Idaho Department of Correction and Ohio Department of Youth Services are currently in progress.
