(INDIANAPOLIS) November 19, 2024 – Resultant, a leading technology and data analytics consulting firm, announced today that it has been awarded a $2.9 million contract by the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education in Washington, D.C., to lead discovery, design and development of the District of Columbia’s first “Education Through Employment Data System.” This contract is part of a broader initiative to create a comprehensive data system designed to track and analyze the impact of education and workforce programs on economic mobility and career outcomes across D.C.

Also known as P20W (pre-kindergarten through college and into the workforce), the system and platform Resultant develops will provide a lifetime view of how individuals engage with D.C.’s education and workforce systems, empowering stakeholders with insights into student outcomes, equity challenges and economic mobility. The system will help the District better understand the effectiveness of its programs, with a specific focus on uncovering opportunities for more effective interventions.
Currently, D.C. monitors high school graduation and postsecondary enrollment, but the city lacks comprehensive data on early career outcomes for public school alumni. This data gap is especially troubling given that only eighteen out of every 100 9th graders are expected to earn a postsecondary degree within six years of graduation, according to the D.C. Policy Center.
Resultant’s empathetic approach and deep technical expertise will ensure that the P20W system becomes a vital tool for tracking and improving education and workforce outcomes across Washington D.C., providing policymakers and educators with the insights they need to improve equity and performance across D.C.’s education system and workforce.
