Katie Downing fell into resource management during a company reorganization and realized she loves the puzzle of aligning people, skills, and projects. She sees staffing as part art, part science, and completely collaborative, connecting people and projects so clients get the best outcomes. With a data-informed approach, Katie continues to deepen her expertise in resourcing and business strategy, leveraging workforce analytics to keep talent pools agile and aligned as client needs and delivery models evolve.

A champion for growth and mentorship, Katie’s passionate about helping people align their work with their passions while developing new skills. She finds immense satisfaction in seeing individuals unlock their potential and strengthen client relationships through that process. 

Before joining Resultant, Katie led a large-scale organizational transformation for an aerospace and defense company while also introducing and building an internal RMO for their global IT department. She further designed and implemented global hiring, onboarding, and performance systems that streamlined talent acquisition for more than 50 IT roles; launched a scalable self-assessment program; reduced consultant spend; and built data-driven frameworks for competency evaluation, upskilling, and retention. 

Outside of work, Katie enjoys perfecting her sourdough bread, a hobby that’s carried over from the pandemic.
