Paola came to Resultant with 25 years of experience as an IT practitioner and five years experience as a consultant.

Her work in the public sector includes state oversight of 32 executive branches, 106 attached agencies, and 136 boards and commissions. Her private sector experience includes work in manufacturing, commercial, transportation, finance, banking, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, health payor, publishing, and software engineering. She also has experience in the fields of education and non-profit.

Paola’s former positions include chief information officer, chief strategy officer, chief security officer, chief technology officer, enterprise risk officer, and vice-president and global privacy officer for multiple large global organizations.

She is a professor of graduate courses in tech innovation, information for competitive analysis, and cyber law at Georgetown University; cybersecurity and privacy governance and audit at University of Texas at Dallas;  and digital ethics and digital risk at Dallas Baptist University.

Paola is the founder and practice lead of Govern-By-Design methodology at Resultant, a groundbreaking way of approaching data governance.

When not helping clients drive better outcomes through data governance or instructing graduate students, Paola spends her free time studying ancient Hebrew and ancient Greek to improve her understanding of the Bible.
